Walking down 18th St between 2nd and 3rd Avenues with my ear buds in but nothing playing on the iPod. Doorman coos to me “good morning” from the doorway. I’m 6 feet away, staring straight ahead, and (at least to the outside world) listening to music. Also, I’m not interested so I don’t react. Then he says “have a lousy day”…. thanks?
